The Swedish premiere of »Sons« will be presented during the opening weekend of Stockholm International Film Festival. The screening, which is a mini-Red Carpet, will take place on Friday November 8th at Bio Rio, where we offer sparkling wine and have the filmmakers on site for a Face2Face.

Sidse Babette Knudsen plays a controlled prison guard who faces a moral dilemma when a person from the past arrives at her prison. Rather than reveal her relationship with the violent and unpredictable young man, she asks to be transferred to his high-security ward. The incident throws her into a dark spiral of lies and dangerous decisions that jeopardise her entire life.
Swedish director Gustav Möller scored a major hit with his critically acclaimed debut film ‘The Guilty’ (2018), which was Denmark's Oscar entry and was quickly adapted into a Hollywood remake starring Jake Gyllenhaal. With the same claustrophobic nerve and unwavering sense of characterisation, he tests the audience's moral compass in a Danish prison thriller that is impossible to take your eyes off. In addition to the magnetic ‘Borgen’ star Knudsen, the cast includes Dar Salim ‘Game of Thrones’ and Sebastian Bull ‘The Hunt’.
