End the festival with one of the most talked about films of the year!

There will be glitter and glamour when this year's Closing Film is screened on November 18. 30 minutes before the screening, you can walk the red carpet, mingle with other film fans and have drinks before settling down in the historic Skandiabiografen and see one of the year's biggest talking points first of all and also pep up for Christmas a little in advance with »The Holdovers«.  

Alexander Payne reunites with Paul Giamatti for the first time since »Sideways« in 2004. As usual, interpersonal relationships are in focus and Payne excels in his ability to portray darkness with great tenderness and dry humor. Giamatti ( which we have seen in the critically praised »12 Years a Slave« and »Cinderella Man«). is in top form as a grumpy teacher spending the Christmas holidays at the boarding school where he works, along with orphaned student Angus and chef Mary. The atmosphere is initially miserable, but will slowly change and unexpected friendships emerge during an unusual Christmas in New England.  
 A low-key drama with a high cozy factor and nostalgic vibe. »The Holdovers« is the perfect closing film for this year's festival!
